So far so good. After we had went cold turkey, that next day Grandma had a hard time getting her to sleep and she ended up giving it to her for her nap but other then that time she hasn't had it. It's been a little over 2 weeks and we've been binky free. I think it does help that she's older but not quite so old that she is so attached to it. I think she was mostly using it because it was there. The downside is that we are struggling a bit more with her taking naps. It's kind of hit or miss on that so we're hoping that we can get that routine back.

Mackenzie has been talking more and actually trying to repeat words when we say them. It's pretty cute to hear her version. I got some word flash cards in the $ section at Target and she does pretty well with those. I will go through them and show them to her and say what it is and she tries to repeat it. And some she does know when I show them to her. I will also ask her where the pig is and she will even find it and then say the word. The kids are here right now and they even noticed how much more she is talking and interacting with things.

Lately she has been grabbing my hands and trying to say patty cake and do the motions. Also she takes my hands and covers her eyes for peekaboo. She is really starting to show that she has a goofy side to her and it's been a lot of fun.
