Cold turkey!

Starting last evening we went cold turkey and pulled Mack off the binky. For the last 6 months we've been pretty good about keeping it from her and only giving it to her when she 'needs' it. Mostly it's been nap or bedtime. But last night we put her to bed without it and she did ok. She whined for a little bit but that not necessarily is from the lack of binky, it may just be because she didn't want to go to bed.
So today when I took her out to my Mom's I secretly gave it to my Mom and told her to hide it and ONLY get it if she absolutely had to get it. Kind of like 'in case of emergency break glass' type thing. But I told my Mom that I have always heard the first few days are the hardest and then it will get easier.

I heard from my Mom later in the day and so far so good. I will keep you posted on how the rest of the week goes.
