Poopy Picasso

So recently Mackenzie has been finding it fun to dig in her diaper after she has pooped. She has done this a few times but Friday night was the worst!

I had just put her to bed and I was laying in bed watching a movie. I heard her thumping on the wall so I got up and she was already laying back down but I could smell poo. So I picked her up in her dark room and took her to our bed to change her. I layed her down and then saw the poop on her hands and her face! And she had touched our sheet, which are brown. So I got her up and took her to the bathroom to wash her up. Steve came to help so while he took over washing her up I went into her bedroom and turned on the light and that was when I saw her artwork! She had smeared poop on her walls and all around her crib rails! It was soooo disgusting! Really makes you think about your life when on a Friday night you're now cleaning up smeared poo. ha!

Then late afternoon on Sunday she was out in the backyard and I caught her digging again! So I marched her into the bathroom to clean her up. So this morning when I dropped her off at my Moms house I warned my Mom about her picking her seat at the movies. Later I heard from my Mom and apparently Mack was digging before she could catch her. And it's not like she's sitting around hours in a poopy diaper. This is leading us to believe that this might be a first sign that she's being aware of what is back there and is curious about it. I'm sure this is just a phase she is going through but we will continue to see where it leads us.
