HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Had a very wonderful Halloween. Mackenzie was really into it this year.

Too tired to post pictures of our night but here is a picture of us girls earlier in the day while we were primping for trick or treating. More pics to come.....

Oh How I Love Me Some Painted Piggies!

She finally will hold still for me to paint them, it's the after part that is difficult! Luckily I got on a thin layer and was able to hold her still long enough until they dried before she could smudge them.
Now her and I match with OPI's "I'm not really a waitress."

Pumpkin Carving

We finally got around today to carving our pumpkins. I was so glad I remembered the night before to bring them into the house. Me hates to clean super cold guts out of a pumpkin!

Mackenzie wasn't really into the carving, just as I expected. But we were pleased that she gave us some time to be a kid. She has gone from calling them "ponyoes" to "hokeys".

Mackenzie had so much fun sitting on the pumpkins.

We had 5 to carve and here were our results. Mackenzie's is the little ghost. Mine is the "Oh No!" below hers and then for fun I drilled holes in the small one. Daddy's are the other two; the scary smile and the Alien.

Happy Halloween from our house to yours.

Mackenzie's Ice Show Experience

I have always loved the ice shows. Last night I took Mackenzie to the Disney On Ice. We went with some friends and their 4 yr old daughter. This was Mackenzies first show and she did great! I was so proud of her and she really enjoyed watching everything that was going on. I got to hand it to Disney, their costumes are always so impressive. I can hardly skate let alone do it wearing an Ursula costume!
We had a great magical night and I love when I have a positive experience with her.

Here we are before the show. I can't wait until she starts posing for her photos.

Ok, don't judge the shoes. What toddler of mine has dressy princess shoes to wear out? These worked great!

Here is where our seats were. 5th row back! Excellent! Aisle seat and there was no one sitting in the seat in front of me where she spent most of her time on my lap. Couldn't have asked for better!

Here was pretty Cinderella before the show.

Went and saw these 2 in April, how nice that they came to Ptown to see us!

Here is where our seats were. No need for our binoculars!

Sitting like a big girl.

Harvest Party

A co-worker invited us out to her family farm for a harvest party. The weather was amazing! Couldn't ask for better. This is only the second year they've done it and they certainly have it all dialed in. We were amazed at all the stations they had set up with wood signs telling you what was there.
The seating was in the barn and I felt so at home. Loved the smells. Though Daddy's allergies were giving him trouble sitting around all that hay.

Mackenzie loved the apple decorations. Here she is watching a little one bob for apples. I've never been an apple bobbing fan.
Here we are getting ready for the hayride. One of the stops on the ride was petting the horses and donkey in the nearby pasture. She still had her apple with her so this horse got a nice horsey treat.
Out searching for our pumpkin, Mackenzie decided to take a break.
Here she is, the end of the day, of course playing in the gravel.

Seeing Lotsa Orange!

Today after work we drove to The Pumpkin Patch. The weather was beautiful and was showing that summer was still trying to hang on.
Mackenzie was very interested in seeing the pumpkins this year. She loved the cow train but Daddy said she seemed bored because it didn't go fast enough. That kid loves speed!

Go here to see some other sights of the Pumpkin Patch.

Ducky of a Day!

Went to the park again on Sunday. Such a beautiful day and the fall colors are starting to show. Here are some pics of Daddy and Mack enjoying their time.

Here duckie, duckie, duckie...

Special Things

Wearing some of Great Grandmas pretties. I had these tucked away in my dresser drawer. Little did I know that when I picked out some of my Grandmothers costume jewelry to remember her by that I'd have a little girl someday to enjoy it.

Here she is twirling with it and feeling very pretty.

Our Little Princess

Last week our local library had a storybook time. In the evening! My friend reminded me that I always complain how everything like this is during the day, which is true, so I felt like I should go.

It was titled Princess and Pirates Tea Party. I got out one of Mackenzie's play dresses that I had received from a girlfriend and we attended. Mackenzie is still a little young to participate in the songs and pay attention to the reader. She mostly sat in my lap on the floor and read books. Kinda loudly I might add! :)
We stayed for about a half hour and then headed for home.

I really liked how all the librarians that were there were dressed up. They had a refreshment table and I remember seeing a tea pot and gold chocolate coins. Since we didn't stay long I'm not quite sure what they had.
