SAND AND SEA

Today at home it was going to be super hot but it worked out good because we already had plans to drive to the beach for the day. Great way to get out of the heat.
We drove to a local beach that has vehicle access. In years past we've also clammed here.
By the time we got there most of the fog had burned off and it was sunny with some wind. By the afternoon some of the fog was coming back around and we felt it was time to go anyway. Sand and a 1 year old makes for an interesting combination.


Daddy and Mackenzie playing in the sand. Well, he was making mounds and she was smashing them down as fast as he could build them.



Mackenzie's very first sanddollar. We ended up finding 4 shells.



Before we left I took Mackenzie up towards the dunes and we played there. The sand was really warm and I thought the dry sand would be easier to clean up for when it was time to leave.
