Clown at the Library

A friend told me last week about a show that the local library was putting on today during the morning time. Apparently they only do this stuff for a few weeks during the summer. And since I'm on vacation this week and we're making it a "stay-cation" I was able to take Mackenzie. Kind of frustrating when you work full time during the week, there isn't really any after hours of this type stuff. So I thought I better take advantage of this opportunity.
So I met my friend there today and her 2 little ones. Mackenzie sat with me on the floor and watched BJ the Clown do magic tricks, play with balloons and make all the little kids around her laugh. She wasn't afraid of him which I was happy about. I always hear how clowns can be scary for kids and even some adults have a fear of them.
At the end of the show he was outside the door handing out magnets and when we went up to get one from him she didn't put her hand out but she did smile at him. And he commented about how she smiled and that was a good thing. Right after that she got shy and buried her head on my shoulder.

BJ brings his wonderful comedy show to the libraries again this summer. After approximately 1500 shows, NOBODY knows more than BJ about what makes children laugh. A perennial crowd-pleaser, don’t let this year go by without this show at your library.
