Easter 2010

Last night we colored Easter eggs and it sure was messy fun with a three year old! All she wanted to do was play in the colored water. We'd give her an egg to put in the cups and she'd drop it from about 3 inches above. Kersplash! We got through the eggs and then filled a couple cups up with clear water for her to make a mess with.
Then the next morning the Easter bunny came and hid eggs and gave Mackenzie a great treat basket! She did really great at searching out the eggs.

Having Some Fun at the Park!

Saturday was so nice and I got so busy doing things around the house and outside the house that I didn't get a chance to take Mackenzie for a bike ride or to the park. So Sunday while the sun was still around we drove down to a local park. Each time we go I'm always amazed how much she is growing up and what she can now do.

Some recent random pictures at home.

Lots of Giggles!

One day while driving home Mackenzie was being so goofy and funny. She had a case of the giggles and I'm not sure why.
These pictures did not turn out well because obviously I was keeping my eyes on the road and just instantly snapping pictures willy nilly and hoping I was lucky enough to capture the moment even though most of them were blurry.

A Day at the Zoo

A few weeks ago the 3 of us girls made a trip to the zoo. The animals were pretty active and it was a nice way to spend Superbowl Sunday.

Duck.. Duck...Goose!

Hadn't been to the park in awhile. Actually haven't really even been out taking pictures in awhile. The weather was decent so I decided to head out to the duck park for a little bit. Mackenzie loves the ducks and going here. There were quite a few geese and if you have food they love ya! I was hoping to see some babies but realize it's just too early for that.

Here she is getting down to Goose level...

First Snow of the Year!

Came on December 29th which is Grandma's birthday! Our area didn't seem to be prepared for it and it came on strong and fast and the average was about 4". Roads were being closed and because it all was happening when people were leaving work it made for an long and awful commute home for most.

I was able to get Mackenzie out in it once we were home and mainly all she wanted to do was run up and down the road. But she was saying snow and was touching it and liking it. Half hour was plenty for this 3 year old and I was just fine with that.

And of course I did try to keep gloves on her but she didn't want any of part of that.

Mack's Christmas

So far this Christmas has topped the other 3. Mackenzie was at a more fun age and finally got more into what some of it was about. Of course she gave me challenges like the decorations on the tree but still a good time was had by all.

Mackenzie's Birthday Palooza!

Our little December baby just had her 3rd birthday. Hard to believe she is 3 already! This year we decided to have a party out somewhere. So we did 1 party at home over the weekend and family came for cake and ice cream. And then a couple days later we went to this place called Safari Sam's where she could run and play and have a good time. Good cold month to burn off some energy!

We were happy to see that this time she was actually interested in whats behind the wrapping paper. She wasn't too interested in any of her cake and ice cream. I guess she's more of a cookie/candy girl. If I would have known I would have gotten her a giant cookie instead!

Also for her birthday on Sunday we had a Mommy and daughter date at the movies to see The Princess and the Frog. Cute movie and she loved when the songs came on.

Here are her pictures of her parties...

Busy Play

Mackenzie is very busy these days playing with her sets. This is a daily occurrence right now in our household. I know it does not look like much but she will do this quite often and then keep adding to it. And believe me when I say they all have a spot. See the little pink 'squirt' in the middle from Finding Nemo? I noticed how she had it right smack in the middle on the 4 corners. So I moved it when she wasn't looking. She looked back and noticed it and moved it back. I had fun doing this a few times. Funny girl.

Need Some Help Daddy?

Oh My Gosh!!

the view looking down behind the TV...

Mackenzie loves her toys but we are about 2 clicks away from tossing them all out! We know this is just a phase but her throwing them behind the TV is really getting old. Of course, if she keeps doing this my house may look like a toy bomb has just gone off. When we can't find something? We've learned to look behind here. One night Daddy pulled the TV out and made her get back there and get them all. But of course that was such a sllllowww process. She was looking at everything like "yeah, thats where this has been!"

This particular night we found a moldy small orange that she had thrown back there. Ewwwww.

Tree Decorating...

Tree is up but decorations have not yet been added. Do you think Mackenzie is trying to tell us something? Maybe I should just leave it up to her this year!

Tub Time

I've been pretty busy lately and realized it's been awhile since I've posted anything.
Here is Mackenzie the other night being goofy and playing around in the tub. Nothing special, just her being sloppy and having a good time.
