SIX MONTHS

Mackenzie turned 6 months today. She had her Dr's appt and she weighed in at a whopping 21lbs 1oz, 28.5" in length. She is still off the charts.

She has been sleeping in her crib in her own room for a month now. She sometimes will sleep through the night but it's not every night. She can sit on her own for quite awhile now but sometimes will topple over if she gets off balance. Also has been sampling new and strange foods: cereal, applesauce, bananas, and squash! She does pretty well at accepting the new way to enjoy food. She's most likely digging the fact that it's another new way of eating!

She loves to smile and laugh and just must think her parents are goofballs. Her Grandparents are pretty funny too!

We are enjoying every new moment that comes around the corner.

Mackenzie's many faces....

5 MONTHS

Mackenzie is 5 months now and she just started rolling over the other day. As you can see she is getting stronger at sitting on her own ~ until she topples over.

She loves to smile and making her giggle is a lot of fun too. I'm sure she thinks her Mommy is a nut!

FEEDING CEREAL

Started feeding Mackenzie rice cereal. She seems to be getting better with each feeding of where the cereal needs to go.

OUT FOR A STROLL

On a walk in the neighborhood the other night after a warm May day.

FIRST MOTHERS DAY

I look forward someday to whatever artwork her small little hands may make me for Mother's Day. That is more wonderful then anything that can be bought in the store.
My goal is to take a picture of us together each year and put them in a book for her to keep.

Today I gave Mackenzie a book for my first Mothers Day. You may have heard of it , its called "You Are My I Love You". It's a nice book for parent and child.

"I am your lullaby; you are my peekaboo.
I am your good-night kiss; you are my I love you."

Mackenzie @ 4 months

Mackenzie is now making "raspberries" and generating more spit then ever. She is also grabbing her knees and feet.

She's not so keen on the 'binky' anymore and is now choosing her fingers, thumb or fist for comfort.

She weighed 18 1/2 lbs at her 4 month appointment.

Not quite steady sitting on her own yet. Although she does sit in her exersaucer and jumperoo just fine and enjoys what they have to offer.

We have found her ticklish spots and she loves to let out giggles to let us know it.

4 mo Dr Appt

Mackenzie had her 4 month appt today. She got 3 shots and she did much better this time then at her 2 month appt. She laughed on her first shot and cried on her second and stopped then cried on her third and stopped. This was her mood this evening. She's a trooper!

She weighed in at 18lbs 7oz and measured 27". She is off the charts but Dr was pleased with her.

Does she have my eyes???

HAPPY EASTER 2007

Looks like the Easter Bunny came to Mackenzie's house. The chcoolate bunny is for Mom!

Mackenzie didn't think much of the egg coloring but she did get into the stickers!

Warm spring day

When I came home from work Thursday daddy had her in this dress. She usually has long sleeves and long pants on but it was a very warm day.
Mackenzie didn't know what to make of the cool grass under her chubby little toes.

Tub Ring

I tried the ring the other night when I gave Mackenzie her bath. She wasn't quite sure what to think of it.
